During a public meeting held at the Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez Auditorium, Querétaro Mayor Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera announced that studies for the construction of a cable car connecting the northern part of the city with the Historic Center will be completed by 2026.
The project is part of the actions included in his mobility plan and seeks to offer a more efficient urban transportation alternative, potentially connecting Menchaca, Peñuelas, and San José el Alto with Plaza del Parque.
This would reduce travel time from 35 minutes to 8 minutes.
He also announced that electric transportation will be launched in the city’s main square this year and that the Qrobici bicycle system will be relaunched as part of the comprehensive sustainable mobility strategy.
These mobility announcements were made to various guests and representatives from different political parties.
