Artemisa García Chávez, Puebla’s Secretary of Welfare, confirmed that Anallely López Hernández, who was accompanying Nazario Ramírez Ramírez, identified as an operator of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), at the time of his arrest, resigned from her position as delegate in the Libres region last Wednesday, October 22.
On that day, López Hernández took a photo with 26 other delegates from the agency in the state while participating in Artemisa García Chávez’s first meeting after being appointed head of the agency.
In addition to the fact that there was no official information at the time regarding the official’s resignation, Morena leader Olga Lucía Romero Garci Crespo defended her by asserting that there was no investigation against her.
This, despite the fact that information about López Hernández’s close relationship with the Puebla businessman arrested on October 15 was already circulating in the media and on social media.
Her resignation comes after the news website e-Consulta released part of the investigation file on Thursday regarding the operation in which Ramírez Ramírez and two other people accused of being members of the CJNG were arrested in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
That document reveals that the representative of the Puebla Welfare Secretariat was present at the house at the time of the search, where weapons and drugs were also found.
On her social media, the now-former official displayed trips and expensive gifts, including a Sahara Jeep Wrangler with Jalisco license plates.
Puebla businessman Nazario Ramírez Ramírez, who was also a leader of transporters affiliated with the CTM in Jalisco, was identified by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, as the operator of a criminal group responsible for extortion and drug dealing in Jalisco and Puebla.
