Mitsubishi will close one of its three plants located in the state of Querétaro. The company has decided to move one of its production lines to China.
According to the state labor department, 70 employees will be affected by this closure. This is Mitsubishi’s Plant 2 in San Juan del Río, which specializes in transportation systems.
One plant remains operational in San Juan del Río and another in El Marqués.
The state agency will be assisting the workers in the coming days to support them through this closure. This follows the closure of Michelin, which is also ceasing operations due to changes in the global market.
