The Ministry of Economic Development (Sedeco) awarded 50 “Made in Oaxaca” certificates to producers and artisans recognized for the quality, authenticity, and cultural value of their products and work.

At the close of the first edition of the “Made in Oaxaca: Offering and Heritage” event, this distinction guarantees responsible processes, territorial identity, and the application of both traditional and innovative techniques.

In this way, producers can differentiate themselves in the market, access new sales channels, strengthen consumer trust, and protect their product identity from imitations.

These certificates were awarded to 13 master artisans, 17 agro-industrial companies, 19 alcoholic beverage producers, and one industrial and manufacturing company, thus strengthening the development of these sectors in the state.

Sedeco head Raúl Ruiz Robles emphasized that “Made in Oaxaca” reflects excellence, passion, and dedication. In addition to the efforts of the women and men who preserve ancestral techniques, skillfully transform raw materials, and showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage.

To date, the State Government has awarded 268 “Made in Oaxaca” certificates across the eight regions. This distinction is becoming an official recognition of products and projects that meet standards of quality, authenticity, and local roots.

The Oaxacan Spring Festival strengthens the state’s productive sector and supports local talent.
