Roberto Carlos, known on social media as El Custodio, is under investigation for the murder of three people on Monday night in the municipality of Acolman, State of Mexico.

The incident occurred inside the Real del Valle housing complex after neighbors reported hearing gunshots to authorities.

According to the investigation, three people allegedly threatened to invade the content creator’s property. He defended his property and wounded the alleged intruders.

Dozens of municipal, state, and National Guard police officers arrived at the scene and attempted to apprehend an armed individual. An exchange of gunfire ensued between the armed forces and the alleged assailant, but he managed to escape.

The YouTuber himself identified him in a video he posted on his social media accounts, where he is seen armed.

“Hello, my name is Roberto Carlos, ‘El Custodio’ on YouTube. I had to defend myself because these people were squatters and were threatening to kill me. They invaded my house, and they’ve been putting me in this situation for years… I had to use self-defense. I’m sorry, but that’s how it is. This is what happens to squatters. For C4 or whoever sees this, it’s a shame for my family. Please forgive me, I had to do it,” he declared.

Among the victims are two men and a woman, who were shot and died at the scene. A fourth person was also injured and taken to the Axapusco General Hospital, where they are reported to be out of danger.

Relatives of one of the victims said that their son was a taco vendor and, upon hearing the gunshots, tried to help a man and a woman who had been attacked, but he also lost his life.

The area, located on Lago del Real Boulevard, remained closed to traffic due to the presence of law enforcement units until 4:00 a.m., when the bodies were transferred to the local morgue.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) has launched an investigation into these events.
