Collaboration agreement signed between La Paz, BCS and Mérida, Yucatán

Within the framework of the III Latin American Learning Cities Forum, the mayor of La Paz, Milena Quiroga Romero, along with the mayor of Mérida, Cecilia Anunciación Patrón Laviada, signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen tourism ties and promote the natural, cultural, and gastronomic richness of both destinations.

The agreement between La Paz, Baja California Sur, and Mérida, Yucatán, was signed on the esplanade of the Convention Center. In this context, the mayor of La Paz reiterated that this alliance will seek joint promotion, innovation, training, and the exchange of experiences to strengthen the tourism sector.

“Collaboration is very important, and we want to share best practices. We hope this agreement will help us continue strengthening ties, sharing experiences, and implementing public policies that benefit our communities,” she stated.

For her part, the mayor of Mérida expressed her delight at this step toward strengthening the culture and economy of both municipalities and sharing experiences from peninsula to peninsula.

Finally, Quiroga Romero expressed his gratitude for the willingness to work together and collaborate for the well-being of the residents of both municipalities.
