A man died Friday afternoon after falling from a moving train in the municipality of Gómez Palacio, Durango.
The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Germán Vázquez Cruz, whose cause of death is still under investigation.
According to the report, the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. when the man was traveling on a train from Gómez Palacio toward Jiménez. At one point, he decided to get off the moving train, but while attempting to jump, he lost his balance, fell to the ground, and died instantly.
Authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. The Public Prosecutor ordered the removal of the body and its transfer to the morgue of the Forensic Medical Service of the Deputy Prosecutor’s Office for the Laguna Region, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
