Canacintra Puebla requests that the road blockades be stopped

The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) Puebla Chapter expresses its concern regarding the highway blockades that occurred this Monday, November 24, at various points throughout the country, including strategic routes connecting the state of Puebla with the main national logistics corridors.

In a statement, they detail that in recent hours there have been intermittent closures by groups protesting various social and economic demands. These actions temporarily halt the transit of goods, supplies, and essential personnel, affecting key sectors such as automotive, metalworking, agri-food, and chemical. These types of threats on the highways cannot be allowed to become a recurring pressure tactic, as they generate uncertainty, vulnerability, and accumulated risks to the state’s competitiveness.

They also urge that this problem be resolved as soon as possible, since a prolonged blockade could result in significant delays, critical moments in supply chains, and increasing economic losses.

Therefore, Canacintra Puebla calls upon the Federal Government to intervene immediately and in coordination with the State Government in order to:

  1. Guarantee free movement of traffic on the affected sections.
  2. Establish effective channels of dialogue with the protesting groups to address their demands without paralyzing national activity.
  3. Reinforce highway security and prevent situations that endanger transporters, workers, and critical supplies.
  4. Implement preventive and conflict management mechanisms to discourage the recurring use of highway blockades as a pressure tactic.

Canacintra Puebla reiterates its willingness to collaborate with all three levels of government on solutions that prioritize productive stability, social peace, and certainty for industry and investment.
