State and federal authorities, along with organizers of the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX), held a coordination meeting at the C5 facilities to advance preparations for the Tulum Air Show 2026, the aeronautical event scheduled to take place from April 23 to 26, 2026, at the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum.

The meeting is part of the effort to solidify this event as one of Quintana Roo’s newest tourist attractions, positioning the state as an international leader in aeronautics, technology, and culture. This event was previously announced by the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, who emphasized its importance in diversifying the state’s tourism offerings.

According to discussions during the meeting, the Tulum Air Show 2026 is expected to attract more than 20,000 attendees, generating significant economic benefits for Tulum and strengthening the shared prosperity strategy promoted by the state government. Italy will be the guest country, in addition to the participation of authorities from the Mexican Ministry of National Defense and the Mexican Air Force.

Confirmed attractions include:

A parachute display
F-5 fighter jet demonstrations
A performance by the Aztec Eagles aerobatic team
A civilian aerobatic display
A static display in the hangar of Military Air Base No. 20, with free admission for the public
The arrival of private aircraft and activities for photography and family gatherings are also planned.

Authorities emphasized that the Tulum Air Show 2026 will be a “community-by-community” event, and therefore plans to include a cultural program representative of the region, as well as the participation of artisans from Quintana Roo, promoting the local economy and the dissemination of cultural heritage.

During the meeting, led by Secretary of Government Cristina Torres Gómez, it was emphasized that Quintana Roo has four international airports that handle the largest volume of tourism in the country, making the state a strategic location for global events like this one.

The Tulum Air Show will also serve as the venue for the official launch of FAMEX 2027, reinforcing Quintana Roo’s importance within the aeronautical sector. With these developments, the Tulum Air Show 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most important events of next year in the Mexican Caribbean, strengthening Quintana Roo’s tourism and economic profile.
