From December 1st to 4th, 2025, pedestrian overpass replacement work will be carried out at kilometer 69 of the Tijuana-Ensenada Highway. This will require nighttime closures in both directions and detours onto the free highway for motorists.
According to the official notice, the work on the Tijuana-Ensenada Highway will take place between 11:00 PM and 3:00 AM, from December 1st to 4th. During this period, a complete closure of the highway in both directions will be necessary to protect the safety of motorists and personnel working in the construction zone.
Traffic heading towards Tijuana will be diverted onto the free highway at the Ensenada Toll Plaza (San Miguelito), while traffic heading towards Ensenada will be diverted at kilometer 66 (Alisitos), also onto the free highway. These alternate routes will maintain connectivity between the two municipalities while the pedestrian overpass at kilometer 69 is being replaced.
Once the work is completed within the scheduled hours each night, traffic will be gradually restored so that the road can operate normally for the rest of the day.
