During the month of December, migrants from Guanajuato will be able to access the benefits of the Will Month program, designed to expedite the process of obtaining this document that transfers their rights.
This was announced by the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jiménez Lona, who noted that the arrival of Mexican nationals to the state via the migrant caravan began last week.
The official indicated that, to guarantee the safety of migrants during this period, a special operation has been implemented on state and federal highways to ensure safe transit during their entry and stay in Guanajuato.
“There is a permanent operation underway on the state’s highways with the State Highway Police; we will continue working and maintaining a presence on our federal highways, working directly with our migrants,” he stated.
Jiménez Lona added that one of Governor Libia García Muñoz Ledo’s directives is to strengthen security during the return of Mexican nationals, especially during this holiday season.
He also highlighted that one of the additional benefits for those residing abroad will be the implementation of Wills Month during December, designed to facilitate the process of drafting a will with notaries public in the state.
“Today we have Wills Month for our migrants in December; we invite them to participate and take advantage of the opportunity to draft their wills with our notaries public,” he stated.
It is worth noting that Wills Month is traditionally held during this time and includes a reduction in the cost of preparing this document at public notaries, as an incentive to promote a culture of legal planning.
