Quintana Roo Achieves Record in Air Operations in a Single Day
Quintana Roo achieved a historic record in air connectivity by registering 766 operations in a single day at its four international airports: Cancún, Tulum, Cozumel, and Chetumal, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa reported. This unprecedented figure confirms the strength of the tourist destination and the growing demand for flights from national and international visitors.
“Today, Quintana Roo is breaking a historic record in air connectivity. More than 766 operations in a single day, at the state’s four airports, an unprecedented figure,” the governor emphasized.
The governor emphasized that this achievement reflects the confidence of the airlines, as well as the preference of millions of tourists who choose the Mexican Caribbean as Mexico’s leading tourist destination and one of the most important worldwide. She also stated that the high demand for air travel is a result of the successful diversification of tourism across Quintana Roo’s 12 destinations.
