For their part, U.S. Border Patrol stations will also display wanted posters at immigration checkpoints and international ports of entry in the Del Rio Sector.
On June 13, Mexican and U.S. authorities announced a list of 15 priority targets under the “Wanted” program.
According to the Border Patrol, U.S. law enforcement units collaborated with the Attorney General’s Offices of the states of Sonora and Baja California to issue the wanted posters.
Among the 15 identified targets are individuals wanted for crimes such as homicide, forced disappearance, and drug trafficking, who had documented criminal activity in Sonora, Baja California, and Arizona.
Among the prominent names on the list are Germán Hiram Robles Matas, José Luis Vélez Aguiluz, and Ronay Ulises Rivas Castro, all wanted for homicide.
Also included are individuals linked to drug trafficking, such as Tania Miranda and Ramiro Jr. Hernández, the latter also listed as a fugitive.
Of the fifteen targets, two people have already been arrested. One of them was Mariana “N,” who was located on the night of June 14 in the Del Bosque neighborhood of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora. She was wanted for drug trafficking offenses.
The second woman was Autumn Marie “N,” arrested on June 21 in Sonora. She was served with an arrest warrant for violating her probation, related to a drug possession charge in the United States.
