This Monday marks the start of the license plate exchange program, which will run from January 5th to April 30th, 2026. For the first time, the process will be conducted online, with rewards for taxpayers who pay on time. All payments can now be made electronically, using credit or debit cards, CODI, or in cash by generating a payment slip for use at banks or ANTAD Group stores.
The cost of license plates for cars, vans, and trucks will be 1,697 pesos, and for motorcycles and motor tricycles, it will be 566 pesos. Taxpayers can pick up their plates and registration cards at the main offices of the Ministry of Administration and Finance, located on Paseo de la Sierra, at Base 4 on Ruiz Cortines, and at the 19 municipal offices.
Similarly, for greater accessibility, additional delivery points have been set up at Plaza Sendero and at the Soriana stores in San Joaquín, Guayabal, Deportiva, Huimanguillo, Cárdenas, Paraíso, Cunduacán, and Comalcalco. Citizens only need to bring their current license plates, a printed copy of their receipt, and their INE (National Electoral Institute) voter ID card; no copies are required.
To complete the process, users must access the website https://llave.tabasco.gob.mx, where the license plate exchange will be carried out. The cost is 1,697 pesos per vehicle and 566 pesos per motorcycle.
