The first snowfall of the second winter storm currently underway was recorded this Sunday in the state of Durango. The snow fell in the municipality of Tepehuanes, in the upper reaches of the Sierra Madre mountains, reported the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC).
According to the weather forecast, temperatures are expected to remain low until Monday, so snowfall in other areas of the Sierra Madre mountains cannot be ruled out.
The public has been urged to take precautions due to the intense cold. Those planning to travel by road, in particular, should avoid sudden maneuvers and accelerate and brake smoothly.
