So far this year, Mexico has extradited at least one man linked to the Sinaloa Cartel to the United States. This man is Roberto Nájera Gutiérrez, nicknamed La Gallina and/or Kunfu Panda, who was a key operative for Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
In addition, the U.S. has identified several individuals linked to drug trafficking who face charges in the neighboring country to the north.
In various parts of Mexico, people targeted by U.S. authorities have been arrested. For example, in early December 2025, 11 alleged members of Los Fariseos were captured, including a high-priority target.
This was Roberto “N”, alias El 02, of the Cabrera Sarabia family, who is subject to an extradition order.
Another individual who could be extradited to the United States is Daniel Alfredo “N”, alias El Cubano, whose arrest was reported on January 15. He is a cell leader linked to a criminal organization connected to the Sinaloa Cartel, responsible for coordinating drug trafficking logistics.
Meanwhile, at the end of August, the head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Omar García Harfuch, reported the arrest of Gabriel “N”, who is wanted in the US for femicide and misuse of public funds.
El Mencho’s brother is not extraditable, but another relative is.
A relevant case is that of Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, alias Don Rodo, who is the brother of Nemesio Oseguera, the latter being the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). On several occasions, Don Rodo has fought to avoid extradition, and in July of last year, it was reported that there was no extradition order against him at that time.
Continuing with the CJNG, José Luis S. V., alias Chalamán, was arrested in Colima. Recent reports indicate that this individual is related to El Mencho, the leader of the CJNG, who is subject to an extradition order.
Even so, individuals linked to the Sinaloa Cartel are the ones swelling the list of those subject to extradition. There is also the case of Pedro Inzunza Noriega, alias Sagitario, who is accused in the US of narcoterrorism and was captured at the end of 2025.
On the Beltrán Leyva side, there is the arrest in the State of Mexico of Jair Francisco “P,” alias H4 and/or Junior, who is wanted in the US for drug trafficking.
Similarly, Gustavo Antonio “N,” alias Tavo, is identified as the leader of a Beltrán Leyva Cartel cell in Tijuana and a man of interest to the neighboring country to the north.
Based on the list above, it can be observed that several individuals wanted in the US belong to the so-called Pacific Cartel, in contrast to their rivals in the CJNG.
Two transfers of criminals marked 2025. Initially, 29 individuals were handed over (but not extradited) to the US for national security reasons. The list from late February included names such as:
The Mexican government expelled 26 people to the United States due to alleged ties to various criminal organizations, including the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel. (SSPC)
Miguel Ángel and Óscar Omar Treviño Morales
Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, alias Tony Montana and brother of El Mencho
José Ángel Canobbio Inzunza, El Güerito, linked to Los Chapitos
José Alberto García Villano, alias La Kena, of the Gulf Cartel.
Months later, on August 12, 2025, another 26 men were handed over, including:
Abigael González Valencia, alias Cuini and son-in-law of El Mencho;
Juan Carlos Félix Gastélum, alias El Chavo Félix, one of the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel and son-in-law of El Mayo Zambada;
Servando Gómez Martínez, alias La Tuta, leader of La Familia Michoacana and the Knights Templar;
Kevin Gil Acosta, alias El 200, and Martín Zazueta Pérez, alias El Piyi, identified as security leaders for the Los Chapitos faction;
Leobardo García Corrales, alias Leo, identified as an important figure in the Sinaloa Cartel; and
Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño, alias El Flaquito, one of the leaders of the Arellano Félix Cartel.
