It was announced that the rehabilitation of the Antonio Dovalí Jaime Bridge in Veracruz has reached 79% completion as part of the efforts to modernize the southern highway system of the country.

The modernization efforts focus on reinforcing the bridge’s structure by replacing cables and incorporating monitoring systems that will allow for tracking its condition and preventing risks, thus ensuring much safer vehicular traffic for those who use it daily.

This rehabilitation aims to comprehensively strengthen connectivity and mobility between Minatitlán and Coatzacoalcos, two key municipalities for the development of southern Veracruz. The project will not only facilitate safer and more efficient travel for thousands of people who commute daily through the area, but will also optimize the flow of goods and services, reducing transportation times and costs.

Furthermore, the project seeks to boost regional economic activity by improving a strategic route for industry, commerce, and logistics, consolidating this region as a key point for the state’s growth and competitiveness.
