Rag&Bone officially opens in Mexico. Just a few months after beginning operations in the country, the American denim company is making a strong commitment to the region with its first store in Mexico, marking its first location in Latin America.

The company has opened its store in the Ánima Village Cabo shopping center in Baja California Sur. The opening took place a month after Rag&Bone launched its e-commerce platform in the Mexican market.

Rag&Bone arrived in Mexico in mid-2015 in partnership with Grupo Axo. For its entry into the country, the company had developed a strategy that included commercial alliances and its own online sales platform.

At the time, the New York-based brand emphasized that its arrival in Mexico was a natural expansion for the brand, especially in partnership with Axo, which has introduced other premium American brands to the country. One of these alliances was with El Palacio de Hierro, where Rag&Bone already has a presence.

With the opening of its first store in Mexico, the American company now has a presence in eight international markets, with locations in cities such as Amsterdam, Tokyo, and Sydney, among others.

With two decades of experience, Rag&Bone focuses on the premium denim segment, offering men’s, women’s, and children’s collections that combine British heritage, American workwear style, and New York originality.

In early 2024, the company was acquired by Guess and WHP for $56 million. The acquisition followed the resignation of Marcus Wainwright, co-founder of Rag&Bone along with David Neville.

With a network of more than thirty stores in the United States, Rag&Bone sells its products in multi-brand stores and department stores in 53 countries. According to the latest available data, the company closed fiscal year 2023 with a revenue of $250 million.

Ánima Village Cabo: The Landing of Premium Fashion

Following its recent opening in Los Cabos, Ánima Village has become the chosen location for many fashion brands to open their first stores in Mexico.

The shopping center focuses on premium brands, such as Zimmerman, which opened its first store in Mexico at Ánima Village, as well as other niche brands like Alo, Coach, Golden Goose, Farm Rio, Zadig & Voltaire, Sandro, and Skims.

The complex was designed by the Mexican firm Sordo Madaleno and is being developed by Soma Group. Ánima Village combines holistic experiences with fashion boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants. Since its opening in late 2025, the shopping center has offered a wide range of activities that connect wellness with the natural beauty of Los Cabos.
