The General Council determined that members may contribute up to 2.1 million pesos and supporters a total maximum of 6.3 million pesos this year.
The General Council of the Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute (IEPC) approved, during its first ordinary session of 2026, the contribution limits for members and supporters of political parties for this year.
According to the information obtained, the annual contribution limit for members will be 2,135,460 pesos; the annual contribution limit for supporters will be 6,351,098 pesos; and the annual individual contribution limit for supporters is 317,555 pesos.
The 2026 annual work plans of the standing committees were also presented to the Council, and in an effort to be transparent, the 2025 annual management reports were released by both the Comptroller General’s Office and each of the committees within the body.
Another item addressed during the ordinary session was the approval to destroy valid votes, null votes, unused and surplus ballots, and other electoral documentation, as well as the deactivation and containment of the indelible ink used in the electoral process.
It should be noted that, in an effort to be transparent, the IEPC General Council approved the activity reports for 2025 and the strategic projections for the current year, ensuring that each area has clear objectives and evaluation mechanisms.
The 2025 balance sheet and the 2026 projection have been approved and formalized by the collegiate body that analyzed and approved the results reports and the annual work programs of the 13 permanent commissions and the Technical System of Archives Administration.
