The municipality of Pinal de Amoles recorded temperatures below zero on the morning of Sunday, February 1, which was reflected in the ice that covered the vegetation in the area.

This was announced on the Facebook page of the city council, which added photographs of the ascent to the Cuatro Palos Viewpoint in the demarcation.

In view of the low temperatures, the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection urged citizens to take precautions, including:

  • Wrap up with several layers of clothing and cover your head, hands, and feet.
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature.
  • Eat foods rich in vitamins and warm liquids.
  • Protect especially children and the elderly.
  • If you drive in foggy areas, do so with caution and slow down.
  • Keep spaces ventilated if heaters or stoves are used.
