Tandeos Xalapa: The neighborhoods that will not have water for 19 days in February

During February 2026, the CMAS will maintain the batching scheme in Xalapa, which will cause neighborhoods in the Progreso, Aguacatal, and Federal subsectors to spend up to 20 days without drinking water in the capital of Veracruz

VERACRUZ, VER.- During February 2026, the Municipal Commission of Drinking Water and Sanitation (CMAS) of Xalapa will maintain the batching scheme, which will cause several neighborhoods in the capital to remain up to 20 days without drinking water service, and since February 4, some neighborhoods only have 8 more days of water left in the entire month.

The most affected neighborhoods during this month will again be subsectors 1, 2, and 3 that had also had water shortages during January; these are known as Progreso, Aguacatal, and Federal. The first and third will have water only for 8 days of the month, while Aguacatal will have water only for 10 days throughout the month. In all three cases, the tandeo scheme will be one day with service for two days without water.

The neighborhoods that will not have water for 19 and 18 days

Subsector 1, known as Progreso, will be one of the most impacted, since it will not have water for 19 days in February and will only have service for 9 days. In this area, there are neighborhoods such as: Adolfo López Mateos, Empleados Municipales, Ferrocarrilera parte alta, Magisterial, Obrero Campesina parte alta, and Progreso Macuiltépetl.

Subsector 3, identified as Federal, will also face 19 days without water during February. In this area are located neighborhoods such as 10 de Abril, Burócrcratas, El Mirador, Federal, Framboyanes, Infonavit Loma Alta, Juan de la Luz Enríquez, Lomas de San Roque, Lomas del Seminario, Miguel Hidalgo, Niños Héroes, Rafael Hernández Ochoa, Unidad Jardín, Unidad Nevado de Toluca, Virginia Cordero de Murillo Vidal, and Voceadores.

Rounds in macrosector A and B

As for the macrosectors, the CMAS reported that Macrosector A will have service only for 10 days in February, while Macrosector B will have water for 12 days, although two of those days were already on February 1 and 2. These are the neighborhoods of each Macrosector and their days:
