National Guard protects the lives of those traveling in the Colima-Manzanillo Logistics Corridor

Through coordination between security institutions of the Government of Mexico and the Government of the State of Colima, the National Guard helps to protect the life and integrity of those who move through the Colima-Manzanillo Logistics Corridor, by carrying out a total of 420 operations, 400 vehicle inspections, and 103 violations on the state’s highways during the recent month of January. Specifically on the Colima-Guadalajara and Colima-Manzanillo highways.

In the first month of 2026, #GuardiaNacional personnel stationed in the state of Colima reinforced road safety in this Logistics Corridor, helping users of these roads to move safely and without exceeding speed limits, which is reflected in the care of their lives and their vehicles. through the Escalón, Caballero del Camino, Cinturón, Casco, Radar and Carousel operations, as well as the Anti-assault and Safe Surveillance operations, in addition to nine coordinated actions with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT).

These operations were carried out throughout January in strategic sections, such as the highway to San Marcos, Acatlán de Juárez-Colima, Armería-Manzanillo, Colima-Tecomán, and Libramiento de Manzanillo, where more than 400 inspections were carried out and the application of 103 infractions for violations of regulations, strengthening the preventive presence and compliance with traffic rules by drivers and passengers.

These coordinated and permanent actions contribute to preventing vehicular accidents by promoting responsible driving of vehicles, as well as controlling risk factors such as speeding or incorrect use of safety equipment, and inhibiting dangerous behaviors, which safeguards the integrity of the population and guarantee safer transfers on the roads of the state of Colima.
