Puebla is among the cities with the most new routes, boasting 12, including domestic (Aguascalientes, Huatulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, León, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, San Luis Potosí, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, and Villahermosa) and international (Houston, Los Angeles, and Newark) routes.
Among the low-cost airline’s plans, 10 routes from Querétaro were announced. Within Mexico, these routes will serve Acapulco, Durango, Mazatlán, Oaxaca, and Veracruz, while international routes to the US will include Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Orlando, and San Antonio.
“The launch of this nonstop service between Denver and Querétaro demonstrates Volaris’ commitment to providing accessible connectivity between strategic regions of the United States and Mexico,” stated Enrique Beltranena, President and CEO of Volaris.
As for Guadalajara, it will add flights to Querétaro, Reynosa, San Luis Potosí, Saltillo, and Zacatecas regionally, and to Detroit and Salt Lake City internationally. San Luis Potosí added Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta, as did Chicago.
“This expansion strengthens the role of our regional airports as engines of economic and tourism development, connecting dynamic markets with low fares that boost demand and benefit more communities,” said Holger Blankenstein, Executive Vice President of Volaris.
Finally, it was announced that flights from Aguascalientes to Puerto Vallarta will begin this summer. OMA Highlights Route Openings
