Federal and state authorities dismantled a criminal cell linked to the Sinaloa Cartel after carrying out 12 simultaneous raids in the city of Querétaro, resulting in the arrest of 30 people, including Diego N., alias “El Flaco,” identified as an operator for the Salazar group.
According to the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the detainee coordinated drug sales and distribution, as well as arms trafficking, extortion, recruitment, attacks on rival groups, and homicides.
The operation was the result of months of investigation, fixed and mobile surveillance, and analysis of crime patterns in various neighborhoods of Querétaro, including Casa Blanca and El Tintero.
The SSPC, Navy, Army, National Guard, Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and State Police participated in the operation. During the raids, firearms, ammunition, drugs, cash, vehicles, cell phones, and storage devices were seized.
