Canadian airlines’ commitment to Puerto Vallarta continues to grow. Air Canada announced a new route from Calgary for the 2026–2027 winter season, bringing the airline’s total to four direct flights to the Jalisco destination: Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and soon, Calgary.

The new Air Canada flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from December 10, 2026, to April 10, 2027, using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of between 162 and 189 passengers, depending on the aircraft configuration.

⇒ This new flight represents an average of two thousand additional seats per month to Puerto Vallarta from Canada, solidifying Canada’s role as a vital driver of the region’s economy and tourism.

As part of the strategy to consolidate the sustained expansion of the Canadian market to Puerto Vallarta, the Government of Jalisco, through the State Tourism Secretariat, welcomed the inaugural Porter Airlines flight from Toronto in November.

⇒ The aircraft landed at Puerto Vallarta International Airport, marking the start of the airline’s regular operations on the Mexican Pacific coast.

Flight PD 771 arrived without incident with 132 passengers on board and was welcomed by state, municipal, and airport authorities in a ceremony that underscores the boost to international connectivity and tourism opportunities for the state.
