More than a month after the escalation of fighting between the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and its affiliate, the Chiapas and Guatemala Cartel (CCYG), the Army, National Guard, and State Police continued patrols and overflights in municipalities where these organizations are present.
The Secretary of Public Security for the People, Óscar Aparicio Avendaño, reported that operations were carried out today in the communities of Ocuilapa and El Carrizal, in the municipality of Ocozocoautla.
As part of the search for criminals, they entered a property used by the criminals to plan operations.
In a video posted by the Secretary of Public Security for the People, Aparicio Avendaño can be seen picking up a notebook from the floor where the criminals had been making notes.

The state official is seen entering a space, as if it were a tunnel or bunker on the property.
A red, double-cab Ford pickup truck remained abandoned outside the property.
On Friday morning, soldiers from the 36th Military Zone seized an arsenal allegedly belonging to the Sinaloa Cartel at the gravel pit known as Los Morales, near the sugar mill in the municipality of Huixtla.
The soldiers found a dozen long guns, a hundred magazines, and more than four thousand rounds of ammunition, as well as two vehicles and tactical equipment such as bulletproof vests and uniforms.

All the seized items were transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
In Arriaga, a young couple was executed on Wednesday by suspected criminals.
The victims were identified as 14-year-old Jacqueline Herrera Caballeros and 18-year-old Eduardo Santos Trujillo.
The double homicide occurred in the Patrinos neighborhood.
