Tren Maya beer is brewed by a Yucatecan firm.
This week the Mayan Train presented its new restaurant car, Janal, and with it, its own brand of beer, which will be served on any of the routes and modalities of the railroad, as announced.
About the Tren Maya Beer, the organization later specified that it is a collaboration with Cerveza Ceiba, a Yucatecan firm that has been producing the drink in an artisanal way since 2012.
To date, the date on which the drink will be available on board the Mayan Train has not yet been said. However, several samples of this were served to representatives of the gastronomic and hotel industries of the Peninsula in a presentation tour between the Mérida Teya and Izamal stations.
The Mayan Train Beer will come in three modalities: light, amber and dark. As announced, the drink “pays homage to the identity of the Southeast and the experience of enjoying the journey with intention and pride.”
