With rendered images, it was shown how this busy corridor will look in the future once these works are concluded.
The Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, stated during a morning conference that this area will not be privatized. In the most recent details, it was mentioned that this corridor will have both free lanes and toll lanes for optional use.
It should be noted that these lanes will be completely renovated, with new public lighting and nine strategic returns that will eliminate dangerous crossings.
The governor assured that with this project, the lives of more than 400 thousand Baja Californians will be improved thanks to safer roads and a more agile route.
Similarly, he mentioned that these lanes will be created from the median, which has dirt and has no other type of use, so this area will be used for the creation of the new confined lanes.
“But citizens will have the option, as always, to go down their tracks that we already know.”
She added that neighbors and users dismayed by the rumors of privatization of the road will be able to request a working table in which the project is explained in detail and how it will not only rehabilitate the new confined lanes, but also the current lanes, an issue that, she assures, was one of the requirements established by her to be able to carry out this new project.
