A new escalation of violence is recorded in the municipalities of Teapa, Cunduacán, and Cárdenas.

At least six people were killed between yesterday and today in Tabasco, in a new escalation of violence registered in the municipalities of Teapa, Cunduacán, and Cárdenas.

This Sunday, two people — a man and a woman — were executed in the Taizal ranch, in the municipality of Teapa, by armed men who were traveling on a motorcycle. The attack also left two people wounded by firearms.

The events occurred around 1:00 p.m., near the San Antonio bridge, when the victims were traveling in a vehicle and were intercepted by the aggressors, who shot them repeatedly before fleeing.

A man and a woman died at the scene, whose bodies were left on the side of the road. Residents indicated that they could be two brothers dedicated to the sale of cheeses, although so far they have not been officially identified by the authorities.

Also, this Sunday, the execution of a man was reported in the municipality of Cunduacán, in the Marín ranch. The body was located on the central median, at the height of the Panuncio ramp, lying face down, which generated alarm among residents and motorists who were passing through the area.

In addition to these events, a double execution occurred this Saturday, 7, in a clandestine cantina in the town of Carrillo Puerto, also in Cunduacán, where armed men burst into the establishment and shot at a couple who were consuming alcoholic beverages, according to witness versions.

In addition, on Saturday a man was reported shot in the peripheral of the municipality of Cárdenas.

Elements of municipal and state corporations cordoned off the areas, while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) carried out the removal of the bodies and opened the corresponding investigation folders.
