Mazatlán Rental Prices Rise 85% During Carnival Amid Growing Real Estate Investment

The president of AMPI points out that the demand is mainly concentrated in the establishments located on the beachfront and the hotel zone of the city.

Mazatlan, Sin._ The real estate sector in Mazatlán registers reservation levels of 85 percent in vacation rentals for Carnaval, which will take place from February 12 to 17.

The president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals in Mazatlán, Luciano Carrasco, explained that the demand for temporary accommodations has grown significantly, concentrating mainly in establishments located on the beachfront and the hotel zone of the city.

“Right now, we have a slight uptick with Carnival activities. The issue of vacation rentals is coming. There is already a slight demand, especially on the beachfront, in the hotel zone.”

He said that the percentage registered reflects the confidence of visitors and the solid positioning of the destination for vacation rental tourism during the event.

In the case of traditional hotels, as of Tuesday, hotel reservations were around 84 percent, with the expectation of reaching up to 90 percent as the main days of Carnival approach.
