San Luis Potosí strengthened its position as a national leader in automotive investment in 2025, a result of the ambitious economic policy spearheaded by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona.
The Automotive Cluster’s 2025 Automotive Investment Report ranks the state second nationally, attracting $761.8 million, equivalent to 18.2 percent of the national total.
This performance was reflected in the completion of strategic projects in the automotive and electromobility sectors, as well as the creation of nearly 6,000 direct jobs, strengthening the state’s industrial cluster and its integration into global value chains, even amidst a national slowdown in the sector.
In this regard, the head of the Secretariat of Economic Development, Jesús Salvador González Martínez, emphasized that the transformation taking place in San Luis Potosí is the result of a comprehensive strategy of economic promotion, certainty for investors, and ongoing coordination with industry—factors that, he said, continue to position the state as a competitive and reliable destination for new investments.
