The Association of Entertainment Entrepreneurs assured that the proposal to group nightclubs in a single point was canceled at the request of the sector itself.
The dialogue tables to analyze the relocation of the clubs in a specific area of the city will not be resumed, reported Roberto Arturo Pinto Madrid, president of the Association of Entertainment Entrepreneurs, who explained that it was the union itself that requested to put a stop to that proposal.
The leader pointed out that the idea of concentrating thousands of people in a single point of the capital generated more risks than benefits, so it was decided to withdraw the discussion and focus efforts on strengthening existing commercial corridors, particularly those considered safe areas for the operation of these establishments.
Pinto Madrid stressed that the intention of the sector is to promote the orderly development of the spaces where the businesses of the line of business currently operate, integrating them naturally into the commercial and social dynamics of the city, without isolating them or generating massive concentrations in delimited areas.
In this context, he stressed that apparently simple actions, such as the improvement in lighting in corridors such as Venustiano Carranza and the Historic Center, have had a positive impact on the perception of security.
He said that these conditions have allowed a greater presence of families who transit and live in these spaces to be observed today.
The president of the association pointed out that this coexistence occurs between businesses of different lines, including those of nightlife, which has favored a healthier and more balanced interaction in areas that function as both commercial and tourist corridors.
Finally, he reiterated that Carranza and the Historic Center have been consolidated as points where the coexistence of economic, recreational, and social activities is possible, so the business sector considers it a priority to continue betting on its strengthening instead of promoting a forced relocation of establishments.
