The floats are ready for the 2026 Veracruz Carnival: here are the parade schedules and celebrity guests

Starting this Thursday, the floats that will participate in the 2026 Veracruz Carnival parades began to park along Adolfo Ruiz Cortines Boulevard, offering passersby a first glimpse of what will be Veracruz’s biggest celebration.

This year, the floats will be themed around the representation of different countries, alluding to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, promising a colorful and multicultural display during the parades.

Among the floats on display are those representing Italy, Peru, Spain, Egypt, the Netherlands, Cuba, and Argentina, as well as floats decorated with soccer themes.

So far, the Tourism and Carnival Department has counted 52 groups belonging to three recognized associations, in addition to groups invited by the State Government. The participation of between 27 and 30 floats is expected, guaranteeing a spectacular show.

The bleachers will cost 50 pesos per person for each parade and will be distributed along a 3.5-kilometer route.

Access points will be located at strategic locations such as the Hotel Lois on Avenida Costa Verde, on the Boca del Río side, and in the municipality of Veracruz, starting at Martí, Washington, Bolívar, Valencia, Agustín Lara, Santos Pérez Abascal, Bartolomé de las Casas, Primero de Mayo, Gómez Farías, 16 de Septiembre, Xicoténcatl, Alacio Pérez, Mina, Iturbide, Amado Nervo, Callejón del Villar, Barragán, Hernández y Hernández, Zapata, and ending at Doblado.

Veracruz Carnival 2026 Parade Schedule
Saturday, February 14 – 6:00 p.m. First Grand Parade from South to North (from Boca del Río to Veracruz) on Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho. The characters Toribio and Pepín will participate in the parade floats.

Sunday, February 15 – 12:00 PM. Second Grand Parade from North to South (from Veracruz to Boca del Río). Bely and Beto, Guerras K-Pop, and La Gallinita Pintadita will be present.

Monday, February 16 – 6:00 PM. Third Grand Parade from South to North (from Boca del Río to Veracruz). Aarón Mercury and Aylín Mujica will be featured on the parade floats.

Tuesday, February 17 – 6:00 PM. Fourth Grand Parade from North to South (from Veracruz to Boca del Río). Dúo Brasil, Aldo de Nigris, Abelito, and Luli Pampín will participate. As is tradition, the Royal Court and local authorities will lead the parade on foot at the beginning.

The Director of Tourism and Carnival of Veracruz, Daniel Martín Lois, announced that an official inspection of the stands and structures will take place this Friday to ensure the safety of attendees.

The Veracruz Carnival, considered one of the most important in Latin America, promises a year-long edition marked by the cultural diversity and joy that characterize the people of Veracruz.

Finally, he reiterated the restrictions for entry to concerts and parades, where it is prohibited to bring alcoholic beverages, knives, firearms, or metal belt buckles, in order to guarantee the safety of attendees.
