For this season, the Puebla Parrots, along with the Unión Laguna Cotton Growers, a partnership that has yielded results in recent times, will support the Ensenada Mariners’ 2026 season.

The Ensenada Mariners announced the main details of their participation in the 2026 season of the Mexican Northern League (LNM), as well as the sporting agreements that will strengthen the team’s project. During the event, the new sporting agreement with Mexican Baseball League (LMB) organizations was presented, led by Alfonso López González, Vice President of Sports for the Puebla Parrots; Enrique López Arellano, Sports Manager for the Puebla Parrots; and Francisco Antonio Méndez Suárez, Sports Director for the Unión Laguna Cotton Growers. Also present from the Marineros club were their President, Juan Manuel Arellano Lara, and Sports Manager, José Raymundo Águila Sández.

The 2026 LNM season will consist of seven teams: Bucaneros de Los Cabos, Huracanes de La Paz, Marineros de Ensenada, Vaqueros de Maneadero, Barbanegras de Tijuana, Algodoneros de San Luis, and the returning Tiburones de Puerto Peñasco.

The schedule will consist of 48 regular season games, 24 at home and 24 on the road, played in a two-game series format from Thursday to Sunday. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on July 28.

The Marineros de Ensenada will open the season on April 23, hosting the debuting Barbanegras de Tijuana, thus marking the start of a campaign that promises a high level of competition and great entertainment for the fans.

The Ensenada Mariners originated in the Northern Sonora League and later became pioneers in the Northern Mexico League, which began in 2012.
