The competition featured 10 km and 5 km races, as well as a 3 km recreational walk, attracting 800 runners. This success motivates the organizers to seek even more participants for the third edition.
Regarding the results, in the women’s 10 km race, Erika Jazmin Arroyo Hernández took first place; Lorena Valencia Jiménez came in second, and Claudia Lopez Vázquez finished third.
In the men’s open category, Mario Raúl May Carrillo, a 15-year-old, came in first; Gadiel Hernández Almeida took second; and David Ruedas Calles finished third.
In the women’s 5 km race, Goretti Álvarez secured first place, María González second, and Diana Juárez third. In the men’s 5 km race, José Luis Mejía Reyes won, Guadalupe Ramón Villareal came in second, and Felicito López Torres finished third.
Men’s Masters: First place went to Sergio Acosta Rodriguez; second place to Raul Díaz Sánchez; and third place to Carlos De Dios Cordova. Men’s Veterans: First place went to Jaime Muñoz Ortega; second place to Antonio Palacios De la Cruz; and third place to Natividad Palacios de la Cruz.
In the Open Disability category, Rigoberto Hernández Tobilla was the winner, followed by Royer Pacheco in second place, and Edgar Chi in third. In the women’s division of this same subcategory, Lucía Alfaro Estrada was the overall champion.
In the Hearing Impairment category, Yahir Luis Romero took first place; in the Motor Disability (Wheelchair) category, Miguel Silvan emerged victorious; and in the Women’s Intellectual Disability (Autism) category, Arleth Méndez Pérez was the winner.
Finally, in the men’s division for people with Down syndrome, the top three places went to Gonzalo Alcázar, Luis Alfredo Cardoza, and Joel Gabriel Montes González, respectively; and in the women’s division, Yaritza Nahuat Tejero was the overall winner.
The Diario de Querétaro will host the second race of the 2026 OEM Running Circuit next Sunday, March 28, with 21K and 10K distances. Given its proximity to Querétaro, residents of San Luis Potosí are encouraged to participate in this great event.
