This Wednesday morning, February 18, Marx Arriaga Navarro, the former Director General of Educational Materials for the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), arrived at the Ciudad Juárez International Airport at 10:30 a.m.
Outside the airport, a protest was taking place against the former official, with demonstrators calling him a “rat” and shouting insults at him for the actions he committed during his tenure.
Arriaga announced his intention to return to his position as a professor at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). It should be noted that he has held a full-time professorship at the institution since 2008 and, as part of the agreement with the university’s Academic Personnel Statute, he can request to return whenever he chooses.
