Alleged Therian spotted in downtown Cuernavaca

A photograph recently circulated on social media showing a person, allegedly identified as a therian, in the Zócalo (main square) of downtown Cuernavaca.

The person, presumed to be a therian, was even interviewed by a digital media outlet where they acknowledged being part of the community that identifies with various animals; they were wearing their characteristic mask, tail, and even gloves representing a cat.

The term “therian” is used to describe people who identify, on a psychological or spiritual level, with a non-human animal. It is not a costume or fictional character, but an identity that some assume as part of their daily lives.

In recent days, this term has gained visibility on social media, sparking controversy and criticism. However, on the other hand, people in this community feel relief at being, even if only for a moment, free from the stress that comes with being human.

La Tigresa del Oriente declares herself the first therian in history.
