The Secretary of Education, Martha Soto, presented the fourth edition of Pasaporte Querétaro (Querétaro Passport), focusing on the mountainous region. The project is promoted by the Manuel Gómez Morin Educational and Cultural Center in coordination with the state Secretariats of Culture and Tourism. The initiative strengthens regional identity and benefits the community.
Pasaporte Querétaro promotes the cultural richness of Jalpan de Serra, Landa de Matamoros, Peñamiller, Arroyo Seco, San Joaquín, and Pinal de Amoles. All activities will be free and accessible to the public.
During Pasaporte Querétaro, attendees will enjoy traditional cuisine, craft workshops for children, and an artisan market. There will also be tourism exhibits and performances of traditional Huastec music and dance.
The Director General of CECEQ, Beatriz Aguilera Becerril, announced that the event will take place on February 28 and March 1. Each municipality will present its cultural and gastronomic heritage.
The Querétaro Passport promotes local consumption by eliminating intermediaries. Producers and artisans receive the direct benefit. The program includes folk dance, theater, photography, painting, and historical presentations.
The event solidifies the Sierra region’s position as a cultural hub. Furthermore, it strengthens community pride and promotes the regional economy.
