“Thank you @salmahayek for your support and promotion of Mexican culture to the world. Your new production will showcase the beauty of Veracruz and the majesty of the Gulf of Mexico,” the governor wrote.
In the shared image, Hayek is wearing the traditional Veracruz dress. The state official noted that wearing this attire represents an element of identity for the state. “Wearing the Jarocha dress, from her homeland, makes us even prouder. It was a pleasure to greet her,” she added.

Hayek also highlighted the support of the governors of Veracruz and Quintana Roo in facilitating locations and institutional coordination for the production of recent projects. She noted that the collaborative work between authorities and the film community will allow new productions to promote the country’s natural and cultural wealth.
“They educated me, they guided me, they taught me,” she said, referring to the support she received from the state governors.
