They recommend avoiding Baja California highways

Authorities are coordinating with federal forces and recommending that the public avoid road travel unless absolutely necessary, while land and air patrols continue.

Following the violence that erupted after the killing of a criminal leader in Jalisco, Baja California’s Special Security Forces deployed operations in various municipalities and along several sections of highways throughout the state to reinforce security and prevent further incidents.

At this time, full coordination is being maintained with the Federal Government, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of the Navy, with established protocols and immediate information sharing to keep the situation under control.

The public is asked to remain calm, report any risky situations to the 911 emergency number, and stay informed through official channels.

Likewise, travel on highways is discouraged unless absolutely necessary, while truckers and freight drivers are asked to remain at their work bases or rest stops.

Operations have also been reinforced in commercial areas and convenience stores following reports of several risky incidents.

Security operations in our state are carried out by land and air, with patrols, drones and video surveillance for an immediate response.
