Forty traditional cooks from Querétaro received certifications for preserving and promoting local gastronomy. In total, the Querétaro Tourism Secretariat (SECTUR) awarded 160 certificates and certifications to tourism service providers in Querétaro.
With the goal of strengthening the professionalization and competitiveness of the tourism sector, the Secretary of Tourism for the State of Querétaro (SECTUR), Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, led the presentation of 160 certificates and certifications to tourism service providers who completed various training programs.
The ceremony took place at the Querétaro Convention Center, where the official emphasized that these actions are part of the ongoing strategy to promote continuous training and raise the quality standards of tourism in the state.
“Training is a key tool for consolidating professional and competitive tourism. We recognize the commitment of those receiving these certificates and certifications today, because their preparation directly impacts the quality of the experience we offer as a destination,” she stated.
During the event, 40 certifications were awarded to traditional cooks from Querétaro in recognition of their participation in programs focused on preserving and promoting local cuisine.
In addition, 46 wine certificates were awarded to strengthen the specialization and positioning of the state’s wine tourism offerings, one of the strategic segments of tourism in Querétaro.
More than 78 certificates were also presented to tourism service providers who participated in the Wellness Seminar, as well as to establishments that hosted these activities, recognizing their collaboration in creating training and professional development opportunities.
