Banamex will reopen all its branches located in Jalisco, Michoacán, and the municipalities of Bahía de Banderas and Nuevo Vallarta in Nayarit tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Bank operations will resume during regular business hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The interruption in Banamex’s operations in these locations was due to the violence stemming from the federal operation against Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho.”
The death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho,” leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, triggered violence in several Mexican states.
The Security Cabinet reported that a total of 252 roadblocks were registered in 20 states on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
