In response to the wave of violence affecting various regions of the country and the reported criminal activity in neighboring states like Quintana Roo, the Campeche government confirmed the reinforcement of security measures in coordination with federal, state, and municipal authorities.

This is part of the commitment to the “National Strategy to Strengthen Peace and the Rule of Law,” promoted by the Federal Government, with the goal of maintaining stability and preventing crime in the state.

The announcement comes within the framework of ongoing operations implemented by the Campeche Secretariat of Citizen Protection and Security (SPSC) at various strategic points throughout the state. One of these deployments is taking place at the intersection of the Campeche Ring Road and the Gulf Coast Highway, where Campeche Police officers are conducting preventive inspections of all vehicles entering the state capital.

The inspections are being carried out regardless of the type or model of vehicle, including private cars, cargo vehicles, and passenger transport vehicles, with the aim of detecting potential risks and ensuring public safety.

Authorities reiterated that these actions seek to strengthen crime prevention and maintain peace in Campeche, especially given the context of violence seen in other regions of the country.
