More than 300 complaints have been filed by people whose vehicles or businesses were damaged during attacks by organized crime in Jalisco, reported State Attorney General Salvador González de los Santos.
He noted that a significant portion of these complaints are related to insurance companies requiring this procedure to pay for damages to both businesses and vehicles. He recalled that 13 people have been arrested for the damage caused on Sunday, and another 18 for looting.
Both the Attorney General’s office on Calle 14 and the regional offices have established a special area to receive these types of complaints. “There are over three hundred in total, both in the interior of the state and… They are for damages, for theft, for theft and damage, of course. We are also receiving complaints from convenience stores. We are receiving complaints about vehicle theft, arson, and for the businesses that were affected.”
