Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) activated consular protection protocols for Mexicans in the Middle East following the escalating tensions after the attacks between Iran, Israel, and the United States, and recommended against travel to the region.
The ministry reported that its embassies and consulates in Iran, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, and Kuwait will maintain constant contact with the Mexican community and monitor the security situation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also disseminated the emergency numbers of its embassies in the affected countries to provide consular assistance and protection to Mexican citizens and the families of diplomatic personnel.
Furthermore, it recommended that Mexicans abroad register with the Registration System for Mexicans Abroad (SIRME) to facilitate direct communication in case of emergencies.
