Flor ‘N’, the so-called ‘Dog Killer Grandma’ of Coyoacán, was released after a judge granted her a provisional suspension and she agreed to pay restitution for the torture and murder of the dog Moni in 2024.

According to reports, the 77-year-old woman accepted her guilt, apologized, and will pay restitution. Now, she will only have to sign in periodically and undergo psychological evaluations.

The so-called ‘Dog Killer Grandma’ of Coyoacán will not go to prison because she is an elderly person and in poor health.

Upon leaving the courthouse, residents of Coyoacán, Xotepingo, and surrounding areas, as well as animal rights activists, confronted Flor ‘N’ and, amid shouts, reproached her for the murder of Moni and other dogs.

A video circulating on social media shows the 77-year-old woman wearing a face mask, leaving the courthouse and walking alongside a man.

A woman confronts her and yells that she will never be able to rest because of the pain she caused after the murder of the dogs.

“You know how much pain you’ve caused us, you’re a damned woman. Let everyone know that it wasn’t just Moni, it was 500 animals over 50 years,” a woman tells Flor.

“We have videos, why don’t you want to pay? Why? Why don’t they want to prosecute you? Why are you playing the vulnerable one, you damned murderer, you’re a monster,” the woman reproaches her.

The images show how police had to intervene to help Flor into a car, after neighbors and activists demanded her release.

Esmeralda Yarce, owner of the adult dog “Moni,” reported the disappearance, torture, and murder of her pet.

The 16-year-old dog, practically blind and deaf, mistakenly left her home on Crisantema Street in Coyoacán on May 27, 2024. Four days later, Esmeralda and friends received an anonymous call telling them to search the apartment complex at Xotepingo 101. Flor “N” lived there and appears in security camera footage entering her residence with the dog tied by the neck.

Upon arriving at the location, Esmeralda and friends found the dog buried outside the accused woman’s apartment, and the necropsy revealed that she had been tortured.

Flor “N”, 77, has other accusations against her for the disappearance of pets, mostly dogs and cats, made by residents of Xotepingo Street in Coyoacán.

The woman left the property where “Moni” was unearthed, but the precautionary measures imposed during her arraignment forced her to remain in the country during the month that the supplementary investigation was carried out.
