With great pride, director Dante Silva invites everyone to tune in this Tuesday, March 17th, to the short film “A Glimmer of Incomprehensible Love,” airing twice on Canal Catorce, the public broadcasting channel.
This short film, written and directed by Dante Silva himself, features outstanding performances by María Inés Pintado and Myriam Bravo. It was filmed in Tampico and Ciudad Madero, with the work of a talented and dedicated team across all areas of production.
The story, which premiered at 5:35 p.m. and will be rebroadcast at 11:30 p.m., tells how one morning Aymé suffers the heartbreak of being abandoned by her partner.
That same day, she decides to reconnect with Laura, her best friend, whom she hasn’t seen during the years of their relationship.
After confiding in each other, they decide to go out for the night; Aymé has no idea that, despite her grief, she will discover something indescribable that evening. The next day, in the midst of his solitude, he experiences an inexplicable spark of love.
Director Dante Silva was born in Ciudad Victoria on August 24, 1978. He completed his professional studies at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), where he earned a degree in Finance.
Between 2003 and 2013, he participated in various workshops and masterclasses, notably the “History” seminar taught by Robert McKee and the Film Directing masterclass with Jorge Michel Grau.
It is worth mentioning that in 2013 he won the Best Short Film award at the Tamaulipas International Film Festival (FICTAM) for his film “Por lo que queda”.
In 2015, he received a grant from the PECDA (Program for the Promotion of Film Arts) for the project “El sabor de los nudillos” (The Taste of Knuckles), which featured actor Noé Hernández (winner of the Ariel Award). Also, in 2018 he won the 18th National Short Film Competition of IMCINE with the project “La Tierra y La Carne”, which began its festival tour in 2020.
