Welvia Hotels and Wyndham open a Days Inn hotel in the Mexican Caribbean

Welvia Hotels, the management company launched in early 2025, is driving the opening of the new Days Inn by Wyndham Playa del Carmen on March 25, coinciding with the start of the Easter holiday season. The project stems from the complete renovation of the former Hotel 12 Bees, which, following investment by the owners, has evolved into a fully repositioned product, now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts umbrella.

This opening not only strengthens Wyndham’s presence in the Mexican Caribbean but also exemplifies a clear strategy of asset enhancement through integration into international networks, raising standards and commercial reach.

Welvia Hotels is leading the project under a white-label hotel management model, structuring the operation, positioning, and marketing of the asset with a focus on maximizing its long-term performance and value.

The new Days Inn by Wyndham Playa del Carmen is located on the Riviera Maya and positions itself as an accessible and functional option for both leisure and business travelers, combining a central location with a tranquil setting.

The hotel boasts a diverse culinary offering, including the Bake House Café, specializing in specialty coffee; the rooftop Ocean Grill restaurant; and the Bee Bar, in addition to a rooftop pool that enhances its leisure and experience offerings.

As a unique feature, guests will have access to the exclusive Beach Club Altavista in Tulum, extending the experience beyond the hotel and connecting it with one of the most attractive enclaves in the Mexican Caribbean.
