A 59-year-old man from León, Guanajuato, died while on vacation with his family at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta.
The incident occurred on the beach area of the resort complex, causing shock among other tourists who witnessed the man suddenly collapse.
According to reports, the incident happened shortly after the man got off a ride on the Banana Boat, one of the most popular water activities in this tourist destination.
After the ride, the man walked a few meters before collapsing to the ground without warning, immediately alerting his family and other tourists in the area.
Some bystanders tried to help the man while emergency services were contacted through the hotel’s designated channels.
Minutes after the report, paramedics arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance to the tourist. Despite their efforts, paramedics confirmed that the man had no vital signs at the time of their assessment.
The news caused consternation among his family, who were with him during his stay at the destination.
Preliminary reports indicated that the deceased had a history of several surgeries, which may have influenced his health and led to a possible sudden medical event.
