Tourists from Uruapan reported the theft of belongings from their vehicle while at La Ropa Beach in Zihuatanejo.
According to the report, last Saturday, unknown individuals forced the lock of a Honda CRV parked in the La Ropa II Beach parking lot and stole two wallets and a cell phone.
The victims stated that their main concern is recovering their identification and personal documents, and are therefore offering a reward for information leading to their whereabouts.
The visitors filed a report with the authorities, and it is hoped that increased security will be provided in this tourist area. It is suspected that the perpetrators may be from out of town, taking advantage of the holiday season to commit crimes.
